About GLITS	English (USA)
GLITS is the acronym for the Greater Lafayette Information Technology Society located in Lafayette and West Lafayette, Indiana. It is pronounced "glitz". Attending our meetings is a great way to meet other people involved with information technology in our community and learn about developments in technology. Anyone with an interest in technology is welcome to attend. Our meetings are normally held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The location will change from month-to-month, so the best way to learn the location and topic of the next meeting is to subscribe to this mail list. GLITS is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Lafayette - West Lafayette Development Corporation (LWLDC). However, you do not need to be a member of the Chamber or the LWLDC to attend the GLITS meetings. While we think a membership in the Development Corporation is a great idea and provides a lot of benefits, it isn't a requirement to participate in GLITS. If you have questions about GLITS, don't hesitate to call Del Smyser (Purdue Research Foundation, 496-1659), Steve Belter (Wintek Corporation, 742-8428), or Dana Smith (LWLDC/Chamber, 742-4041). This list is currently configured to allow any member of the list to send mail to the whole list. Please use this freedom carefully; solicitations or other sales-oriented announcements are not appropriate. Announcements of *general* interest and requests for help are welcome. Using GLITS
To post a message to all the list members, send email to glits@webmail.wintek.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to GLITS
Subscribe to GLITS by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
