Members of Third House Committee 3:

A quick reminder that the first meeting of the Chamber's
Third House is this Saturday, 7:30 a.m., at the Best Western
(formerly the Ramada) at SR 26 and I-65.

With your permission, our committee will follow the
pattern we've used for the past few years of gathering
around 7 a.m. to discuss legislation. The buffet line
for breakfast will open around 7:15, and the formal
proceedings will start about 7:45.

A special welcome to our new members this year:
Mayor Tony Roswarski
Terry Strueh, Purdue
Roger Detzner, Tecumseh Area Partnership

  Returning members are:
Commissioner K. D. Benson
Kevin Klinker, Eli Lilly
Mark Davis, Attorney-at-Law
Mike and/or Loren King, Real Estate Development
Steve Belter, Wintek

This mail list is designed to facilitate discussion among
our members. If you reply to this e-mail or if you send mail
to cmte3@webmail.wintek.com, it will be sent to all members
of our committee.

I expect our first meeting will mostly be presentations
from the legislators. There may, however, be a little time
for bill presentations. Since some bills have been targetted
for "fast-track" passage, please feel free to bring a bill
for consideration if you wish.

Official bill assignments have not been made yet by the
executive committee. I hope to have HB 1148, which attempts
to prohibit local governments from offering cable, telephone
or Internet service, ready for presentation.

Let me know if you want to present a bill and I'll try to
get it cleared with Kevin Green.

It looks like an interesting session. See you Saturday!

  Steve
