Hey all,
It was good to get a note from Dennis Bossman because every time I take the
off ramp from 1-94 to the Lodge I can't help but think about him driving
Pastor Luther Wright's beat-up old Chevelle with the stuffing coming out of
the seats around that curve on 2 wheels!  I'm not sure who all was in the
car in Jan. of 1991 as we did our J-term doing Focus City Detroit, but I
think Tim Perrin was.  Were you Tim?  All I remember is ending up with a
handful of that stuffing gripped in my hand after we came back down on four
wheels!!! It was a wild ride!  Not to make excuses for Denny but that ramp
is a tighter curve than it first appears-after zipping around it hundreds of
times throughout the years here, one rainy, slick day I ended up fish
tailing through it.  Fortunately I skidded past the car with people around
it fixing a flat, that was parked on the shoulder, and managed to steer out
of the skid before entering the Lodge.  My wife faithfully avoids that ramp
because she's had to many close calls on it too.  So goes life in the Motor
City.
