Steve,
Thanks for passing the word from Frank along.  I keep wanting to take
Wartburg up on one of its offerings but unfortunately time and commitments
and the distance to travel from Detroit have prevented me from doing so
except for the 3-year retread.  At least its been fun catching up with folks
through this group e-mail way.  Thanks again for setting it up.

What follows is an excerpt of a message from Frank Benz to my personal
inbox.  I need to say that he graciously declined my/our invitation to
join us on "our reunion" so if any of you reply to this message, Frank
or Joyce will not see it.  In a previous message, he did mention that he
hoped we would organize a reunion at Luther Academy of the Rockies...and
in this message he suggests it again .. I thought I'd pass it along to
everyone.

Frank writes:

........It would be wonderful if a bunch of the class got together and
came to
one of our fine Luther Academies of the Rockies.  It is a good program
for cont. ed and a tremendously affirming fellowship for pastors and
families.

Joyce and I returned yesterday afternoon from a 3-week lecture and
preaching tour into KS, NE, IA & SD.  This was our 7th such venture
since
retirement.  In them we offer ourselves as teachers-in-the-churches.  We

send a list of about 12 subjects that we can teach on.  The reponse and
interest this year has been very high.  We came back feeling very
blessed.   Now I need to get the 5-Sunday Jeremiah course ready for fall
and
winter teaching in area churches.  Oh, yes,  we are retired,  but
happily busy.
