Please accept my heartfelt gratitude that at this point in the year, your
congregation is ahead of last year's level of giving.  Both as a Dean, and
as a campus pastor, I am particularly appreciative of the ministry that
these benevolence dollars provide (I'm a recipient of some of it.)  You
have, by now I'm sure, heard of the synod's challenging financial situation
& I am grateful that your congregation appears to be responding to the
challenge.  Way to go !!!
