As I think everyone is aware, significant snowfall and high winds are
expected over the next 24-36 hours, followed by frigid arctic air that will
drop temperatures to dangerous levels for the next few days and nights.
Please be prepared.

The Department of Homeland Security reminds us to NOT call local law
enforcement or 911 for road infomation. Visit http://indot.carsprogram.org or
call 800-261-ROAD. The front page of our web site (www.W9TCA.com) has links
to other sites that may be useful during this weather event.

Per our normal protocol, we will use the WI9RES 147.135 repeater for local
communications, and the WI9RES 443.500 repeater for regional coverage,
should emergency nets be necessary. State ARES HF nets would take place on
their normal operating frequencies of 3900 kHz or 7280 kHz.

Stay safe, stay warm, and avoid travel if at possible once the snow starts
in a few hours. 73
