Fellow hams,

We are asking you to continue your public service mission by helping report
the status of Tippecanoe County's warning sirens during their monthly test.
If you are available this coming Saturday morning and can go to a siren
location to observe its operation, please check into the net at 10:45 a.m.,
on the WI9RES 147.135 MHz repeater (131.8 Hz tone), and advise Net Control
of which one you plan to cover. The sirens are scheduled to activate at
11:00 a.m.

We want to coordinate the siren coverage prior to Saturday to facilitate
quick and easy deployment of personnel, and maximize reporting. Certain
sirens are assigned by TEMA for amateur radio coverage.

Please visit www.W9TCA.com <http://www.w9tca.com/> to view the amateur
radio assigned sirens for this month and sign up to cover one in your area.
The list and instructions are on the front page of the web site.

IMPORTANT: If you plan to report a siren, please fill out the assignment
request form indicating which one. The list on the web page will be updated
(manually) after we receive your request, with your callsign indicating
which siren you plan to report. This will allow everyone to see which
sirens are spoken for and help prevent duplication of effort. The goal is
to cover as many of the listed sirens as possible each month, and minimize
last-minute location changes by personnel in the field.

We look forward to working with you and other members of the amateur community
to help TEMA collect status reports of the county's warning sirens on the
1st Saturday of each month. Please consider helping with this important
public service. Thanks and 73.
