Great appreciation goes out to everyone that participates in the SKYWARN
amateur radio nets. Without volunteers like you, the NWS would just be
guessing where rotation touches the ground, forming dangerous,
life-threatening tornadoes.

Thanks goes out to not just those who observe and report the severe
weather, but also to those who are vigilant and stand by silently, keeping
the radio clear for those reports to quickly be acknowledged and relayed.

Thank you to those who make yourselves known by checking in at the end of
the net to let the NWS know you've been there on silent watch, ready to
report and to help others at a moment's notice. The NWS appreciates knowing
you're there.

For each severe weather report the NWS receives from amateur radio storm
spotters, they know there are many, many others that stand ready to do the
same whenever the warnings go out.

Community service at its finest: amateur radio and the NWS SKYWARN program.

Thank you for serving.
