[TCARES 0772] Annual WIRES Meeting, Wednesday, DEC 13 at 6:30 PM

Fellow amateur radio enthusiast,

*You are invited to attend the annual meeting of Western Indiana Radio
Emergency Services (W.I.R.E.S.) to be held on Wednesday, December 13, at
6:30 p.m. at the Imagination Station in downtown Lafayette (600 North 4th
Street). It is being held just prior to the Tippecanoe Amateur Radio
Association (TARA) meeting on the second floor of the building. *

WIRES repeaters are open for all to use. We ask for annual dues from hams
in the area who wish to help support them. Building, operating, and
maintaining communications infrastructure, like WIRES provides, takes
considerable funding. Some of the ongoing expenses include: insurance,
repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and adding
redundancy to vital parts of the system.

Your $25 annual dues ($20 for seniors and students) make it all possible.
The WIRES repeaters and communications systems are for YOU to use, and we
are here to help make that happen. But WIRES relies on the financial
support of the system users to keep the repeaters operating.

Please consider donating to help maintain the WI9RES repeater system, as it
is a valuable resource for communications in our area. WIRES is a
non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions to WIRES are
tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Dues can be paid and
additional donations made in person at the annual meeting (checks
preferred, cash accepted), by mail, or online. Details can be found online
