Happy New Year my fellow ARES mailing list members.

The new year begins with a Siren Test Net that I am scheduled to be the 
auxiliary net controller. Unfortunately I am not able to participate 
this month. I'm asking for a volunteer to replace me. You don't need to 
be a net controller, just able to operate your radio and take notes. 
Don't be afraid you're not qualified. The fact that I do it sets the bar 
pretty low.

It's a new year. Stretch your comfort zone. Try something new. Nobody 
has ever been hurt backing up a net. And remember, as I've mentioned 
before, the time you spend as an auxiliary net controller counts as 
community service, if you're in need. It's better than poking trash with 
a pointy stick.
