If you are available this coming Saturday morning and </span><span style="font-size:13px">can go to a siren location to observe its operation, please check into </span><span style="font-size:13px">the net at 10:45 a.m., on the WI9RES 147.135 MHz repeater (131.8 Hz tone), and advise Net Control of which one you plan to </span><span style="font-size:13px">cover. The sirens are scheduled to activate at 11:00 a.m.</span><br style="font-size:13px"><br style="font-size:13px"><span style="font-size:13px">We want to coordinate the siren coverage prior to Saturday to </span><span style="font-size:13px">facilitate quick and easy deployment of personnel, and maximize </span><span style="font-size:13px">reporting. Certain sirens are </span><span style="font-size:13px">assigned by TEMA for amateur radio coverage.</span><br style="font-size:13px"><br style="font-size:13px"><span style="font-size:13px">Please visit </span><a href="http://www.w9tca.com/" style="font-size:13px" target="_blank">www.W9TCA.com</a><span style="font-size:13px"> to view the amateur radio assigned sirens for this month </span><span style="font-size:13px">and sign up to cover one in your area. The list and instructions are </span><span style="font-size:13px">on the front page of the web site.</span><br style="font-size:13px"><br style="font-size:13px"><span style="font-size:13px">IMPORTANT: If you plan to report a siren, please fill out the </span><span style="font-size:13px">assignment request form indicating which one. The </span><span style="font-size:13px">list on the web page will be updated (manually) after we receive your </span><span style="font-size:13px">request, with your callsign indicating which siren you plan to report. </span><span style="font-size:13px">This will allow everyone to see which sirens are spoken for and help </span><span style="font-size:13px">prevent duplication of effort. The goal is to cover as many of the listed sirens as possible</span><span style="font-size:13px"> each month, and minimize last-minute location changes </span><span style="font-size:13px">by personnel in the field.</span><br style="font-size:13px"><br style="font-size:13px"><span style="font-size:13px">We look forward to working with you and other members of the amateur </span><span style="font-size:13px">community to help TEMA collect status reports of the county's warning </span><span style="font-size:13px">sirens on the 1st Saturday of each month.
