This Week at Purdue Lutheran Ministry

WELCOME to PLM's weekly newsletter!  We gather each Tuesday afternoon for
Soup Lunch at  412 Russell Street -- and Sunday evenings at 6:30 at Our
Saviour Lutheran Church for Sunday night supper and a student led worship at
7:30.  PLM offices are located at 412 Russell Street - right in the middle
of campus.  Our Saviour Lutheran Church (OSLC) is located on the corner of
Fowler and Vine streets - one block east of the Knoy Hall of Technology.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Next PLM Planning meeting-- Jan. 25, at 6:00pm at 412…everyone is welcome.

Spring Retreat--We will be going back to Lake Luther for our spring retreat
on February 10-12.

PLM Callout-Please invite your friends/fellow students: PLM will have a
movie/game night on Jan. 27th at 7:30pm at 412.

WANT TO KNOW MORE OR HAVE A SAY IN WHAT GOES ON AROUND HERE…then sign up

Announcements of events, etc. will be posted there. The “Table Talk” is a

Compassion International receives our first Sunday of the month offering.
We have 2 children, Nur Efendi from Indonesia and Christina Luka Sombi from
United Republic of Tanzania.

The Science and Theology Brown Bag Discussions this Thursday at Noon at the
Wesley Foundation (435 West State) will be:  "Discussion of Mann's 1491, New
Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus, 2005.  Led by Joe Uhl,
Agricultural Economics, Purdue.

One community of faith worshipping together.  Free will offering.  Reception

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNITED STUDENTS FOR FAIR TRADE
CONVERGENCE -- LWR is offering six scholarships to Lutheran college students
for the third annual United Students for Fair Trade (USFT) Convergence, in
Denver on Feb. 17-20th.  For application information, please visit
www.lwr.org/fairtrade/usft.asp.  Scholarship application deadline is January
16.

The Lutheran Student Movement is taking applications for a 9-month LSM-USA
Internship starting in August 2006.  Interviews will be held in Chicago in
Feb. and March.  Apply ASAP.  More information is available in the PLM
office.
