This Week at Purdue Lutheran Ministry

The week of January 29, 2006



WELCOME to PLM's weekly newsletter!  We gather each Tuesday afternoon for
Soup Lunch at  412 Russell Street -- and Sunday evenings at 6:30 at Our
Saviour Lutheran Church for Sunday night supper and a student led worship at
7:30.  PLM offices are located at 412 Russell Street - right in the middle
of campus.  Our Saviour Lutheran Church (OSLC) is located on the corner of
Fowler and Vine streets - one block east of the Knoy Hall of Technology.



ANNOUNCEMENTS

WORSHIP SERVICE TIME WILL CHANGE TO 5:30 p.m. on February 19th - through the
end of the semester !!!



We expect to get the keys to our new building by February 1st.



The next meeting of the Graduate Discussion Group is Monday, February 6, at
7pm.   They will be meeting for dinner at the Boiler Market (Across the
street from RAWLS hall and Harry’s Chocolate Shop). They meet to combine
good discussion with good people. If anyone would like more information on
the topic we will start our discussion with, e-mail Becky Bull at
rbull@purdue.edu.me.

The next PLM Planning meeting is:  February 8th, 6:00pm at 412.



Tuesday Evening Student Bible Study will now meet from 6-7:00pm.



If you would like to go to New Orleans during Spring Break, PLM’s
registration deadline is February 24.



Spring Retreat -- We will be going back to Lake Luther for our spring
retreat on February 10-12.



PLM Choir sings at the Sunday Night Worship and rehearses on Sunday, 5:00pm
at 412.



The offering on the first Sunday of the month goes to Compassion
International.  We now have 2 children, Nur Efendi from Indonesia and
Christina Luka Sombi from United Republic of Tanzania.

Youth Volunteers Needed at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church -- In order for our
youth team to continue and grow we need adult volunteers to help out.  We
are in need of long term (1 Year) commitment and short term (month by month)

Summer Employment Opportunity with Lutheran Outdoor Ministries --Interested
in working at one of our Lutheran church camps (Lutheran Hills, Lutherwald
and Lake Luther) this summer?   Pastor Mark Radloff, Director of Lutheran
Outdoor Ministries-Indiana/Kentucky, will join us on Sunday, February 5th at
our dinner and evening worship.  He’s also be hanging out at the PLM house
from 3:00-6:00 pm that afternoon.  You can get more information by
