This Week at Purdue Lutheran Ministry

The week of September 24, 2006

WELCOME to PLM's weekly newsletter!  We gather each Tuesday afternoon =
for
Soup Lunch at 330 West Fowler Avenue -- and Sunday evenings at Our =
Saviour
Lutheran Church for a student led worship at 5:30 and Sunday night =
supper
afterwards at 6:30.  Our Saviour Lutheran Church (OSLC) is located on =
the
corner of Fowler and Vine streets - one block east of the Knoy Hall of
Technology.  PLM offices are located at 330 West Fowler Avenue, =A8=F6 =
block
west of OSLC. =20

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Homecoming Tailgate will take place this Saturday at 10am in the OSLC
parking lot. We will be having brats and burgers; we hope to see you =
there!

The Wesley Foundation is having a meeting this Tuesday, September 26th. =
We
would love to have at least one person go! Talk to pastor or Sarah for =
more
info.

Ceiling Tiles--We will be having a retiling extravaganza on Saturday =
Sept
30th at 10am- til whenever. We will be getting some sort of lunch
afterwards, come join in the fun and wear old clothes!

Next PLM Student Meeting - Thursday, October 5th at 5:45pm at 330.

=20

Habitat for Humanity--Is October 14th from 8-5 pm. We are looking for 6
workers to work the whole day. We are also going to be providing walking
tacos for lunch during the build. If you=A1=AFd like to help prepare =
lunch
instead of going on the build we=A1=AFll have more information as well =
as a
sign up sheet for the build at Sunday Night Supper.

The =A1=B0Reformation=A1=B1 party will be taking place on October 27th. =
More
information coming soon!

Fall Retreat--The retreat will be November 3-5. This date has been
confirmed and everything has been paid for. We=A1=AFll have more =
information on
this as it draws closer.

Winterization will be taking place on Saturday November 11

=20

IU Game--We will be housing the IU Lutheran Group at our house and =
futons.
The game is November 18th and we=A1=AFd love for everyone to come and =
greet
them! We=A1=AFll have more information about this later on as well.

Trinity Mission Shanty Town--This will be held November 17-18. Since the =
IU
people will be here we haven=A1=AFt planned to do this.

=20

A U2-euchrist will be taking place on February 18th. PLM has offered to
help out of sheer interest on how this will go. It is mainly a communion
based on the music of U2.

=20

Visiting other churches--Tentative dates for visiting Kokomo or possibly
Monticello are, October 22, November 12, and December 3. We are also =
still
figuring out when we will visit Attica to hear CJ preach there.

T-Shirt Ideas--We have the old shirt design as well as a Winking Luther
idea. Bring all your ideas to Sunday Night Supper, or talk to Sarah.
