This Week at Purdue Lutheran Ministry

The week of November 11, 2007

WELCOME to PLM's weekly newsletter!  PLM's mission on the campus of =
Purdue
is to build a campus Christian community where people grow in faith,
encourage one another in their faith journey, and extend Christ=A1=AFs =
love to
others.  PLM offices are located at 330 West Fowler Avenue, =A8=F6 block =
west
of OSLC.  Our Saviour Lutheran Church (OSLC) is located on the corner of
Fowler and Vine streets - one block east of the Knoy Hall of Technology.
Sunday evening worship for students is at 5:30pm and supper at 6:30pm at
OSLC.

Student Bible Study this week on Tuesday, Nov 13, is cancelled because =
of
the PLM Board meeting.

We will be taking our PLM group picture immediately after worship on =
Dec.
2. Anyone who wants to be in the picture be sure to attend service that
night! =20

Annual Advent Dinner and Celebration, Dec 2 at 6:30pm.  The evening will
begin with work on the Jesse Tree, dinner, pageant and Christmas carol
sing. =20

Anyone with musical talents please contact Mike Zdilla (765-464-0386 or
mzdilla@purdue.edu) if you are interested in accompanying the carols, so =
he
can provide you with a copy of the music.

In keeping with tradition, we will have our pancake study break at 9pm =
on
Tuesday, Dec. 11th, of finals week, so come on by for some good food and
fellowship.

Visiting Valpo Christmas Vespers is an annual PLM tradition.  This year =
-
they have scheduled it an hour earlier than in the past=A1=A6and a week =
later.
Friday, December 14th at 8:00p.m. (Eastern time)  This is the Friday of =
our
finals week.  We realize that many will have left town by then - but if =
you
are still interested in reserving a seat (free), please contact the PLM
office by NOVEMBER 14th.  plm@plm.org.

If this is your last semester at Purdue, we would like to recognize you =
at
our upcoming worship service on December 2nd.  Please let us know if you
plan on attending worship on December 2nd.  The deadline is November 18.

The next PLM Planning meeting is:  Monday, Nov 19th, 5:30pm at 330.

There is a computer with internet service available for student/visitor =

at 330.
