a WELCOME to PLM's weekly newsletter! PLM's mission on the campus =
of
Purdue is to build a campus Christian community where people grow in =
faith,
encourage one another in their faith journey, and extend Christ=A1=AFs =
love to
others. PLM offices are located at 330 West Fowler Avenue, =A8=F6 block =
west
of OSLC. Our Saviour Lutheran Church (OSLC) is located on the corner of
Fowler and Vine streets - one block east of the Knoy Hall of Technology.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

a REMINDER: Sunday evening worship is at 5:30 p.m. Supper begins =
at
6:30 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church (In the Basement). =20
a On Sunday Evening, October 14, Eric Bjorlin, a representative =
from
Lutheran Volunteer Corps, will share about opportunities with his
organization. Lutheran Volunteer Corps is a one-year, full-time =
domestic
volunteer program that places people in non-profit organizations where =
they
work in direct service at homeless shelters, health clinics, =
after-school
programs, and many others, or one might engage in community organizing =
or
work to advocate for better policies in areas like workers rights, the
environment, GLBT issues, and immigration and refugee rights. Eric will
give a short description of the program at worship and a longer
presentation after dinner. Please join us.
a The next PLM Planning meeting is: Wednesday, Oct. 10th, 8:30pm at
330.
a A Soup Lunch will be held at 330 every Wednesday around the lunch
hour.
a Compassion International receives our first Sunday of the month
offering. We sponsor Christina Luka Sombi from United Republic of =
Tanzania.
