Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the Simulated Emergency Test (SET)
for Tippecanoe county is being delayed a week from what was originally
planned. Bruce, N9GKE, has scheduled the exercise for Saturday morning on
October 31, one week from this coming Saturday.

The original scenario is still in play, but we will be conducting the
exercise on the morning of October 31 instead.

Here's what is being planned for this year's Simulated Emergency Test
(SET), scheduled for Saturday, October 31, from approximately 09:00 to noon
EDT.

Exercise Scenario: Hospitals in the Midwest states have begun seeing an
increase in self-presenting patients with flu like symptoms. Several
national media outlets have picked up on the story and are beginning to
warn the general public of a possible virus outbreak. The general public is
beginning to panic and hospitals in Illinois and Wisconsin are beginning to
become overloaded with patients. The Medical Reserve Corps are beginning to
set up field hospitals to triage and treat patients.

More details will be sent in later emails.
