Fellow amateur radio enthusiast,
*Greetings from Western Indiana Radio Emergency Services (WIRES). Due to
the current situation with the pandemic, WIRES will not be holding its
annual meeting this year. Our board members will continue to serve in their
present capacities until such time as it is deemed safe to hold in-person
meetings. We trust that this meets with your approval.*
WIRES repeaters are open for all to use. We ask for annual dues from hams
in the area who wish to help support them. Building, operating, and
maintaining communications infrastructure, like WIRES provides, takes
considerable funding. Some of the ongoing expenses include: insurance,
repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and adding
redundancy to vital parts of the system.
Your $25 annual dues ($20 for seniors and students) make it all possible.
The WI9RES repeaters and communications systems are for YOU to use, and we
are here to help make that happen. But WIRES relies on the financial
support of its users to keep the repeaters operating.
Please consider donating to help maintain the WI9RES repeater system, as it
is a valuable resource for communications in our area. WIRES is a
non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions to WIRES are
tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Dues can be paid online via
PayPal by using this link:

You may also send your dues and donations by mail to:
*W.I.R.E.S.*
*PO Box 4574*
*Lafayette, IN 47903-4574*
Thank you for your support of some of the most reliable, high profile
repeaters in the local area. Our repeaters all use the 131.8 Hz PL tone for
access:
147.135+, West Lafayette
145.370-, Rossville
443.500+, Rossville
